Call for WBC Volunteers
Grace Institute Event: LinkedIn Profile Workshop
Date: December 4, 2018 Time: 10 am – 12 pm

You are invited to volunteer at the Grace Institute’s LinkedIn Workshop, where participants are taught how to develop a strategic LinkedIn presence.
The Grace Institute is looking for 4 WBC volunteers on December 4th to help with their new LinkedIn training initiative. Grace participants have just finished 12 weeks of training, created their resumes, and completed 6-week internships. Volunteers will work with participants to:
Create or update their LinkedIn profile
Add their internship experience to their resume and profile
Mentor them in developing a LinkedIn network and making strategic connections
Show them how to search for jobs on LinkedIn.

80% are women of color
40% are single mothers
40% are dealing with housing issues (i.e. eviction, homelessness, co-habitation).
Tips for Volunteers:
Use constructive feedback (Make a sandwich: compliment – criticism – compliment).
If participants ask questions that you are unsure of please ask any Grace Institute staff member, who will be in the room throughout.
It is up to YOUR discretion regarding staying in touch with participants afterwards. Participants will (hopefully!) ask for your business card as networking is encouraged, but feel free to connect them to Christina Ramelli at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would prefer not to be contacted directly.
